Chamber Outreach “From The Northern Tip of The State Down To the Southern Tip” Highlights Our End of A Great January 2012

On January 12, Chamber President Tracy Stanhoff presented at the California State University, Chico Center for Economic Development –Annual Regional Economic Forecast Conference held at the Gold Country Casino’s Event Center in Oroville.   Tracy spoke on tribal business developmental challenges and offered ideas on how the region can partner for success as a result of the economic growth of the region’s Tribes.

Last week, Tracy and AICEF PTAC Program Manager, Venessa Gleich, presented at the 2012 Workforce Investment Act Western Regional Conference in San Diego on Assisting Case Managers in Developing American Indian Entrepreneurs.   Tracy provided the audience with tips on basic business regulations, fiscal needs, resources, and processes for getting a business started.  Venessa joined in with tips on federal contracting opportunities and business planning success.

On Tuesday, January 31, The Chamber will also be supporting the California Nations Indian Gaming Association again this year by being a co-sponsor of their annual Western Indian Gaming Association Conference Opening Reception on January 31, 2012 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm in Club Vibe at the Morongo Casino Resort.  For more information go to http://www.wigc2012.com/ for complete details.

Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians Presents The 2012 Soboba Golf Classic – One Of The Premier Events of the PGA Nationwide Tour

The 2012 Soboba Golf Classic (SGC), hosted by the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians, will be held at The Country Club at Soboba Springs the week of April 2nd - April 8th, 2012.

The SGC is one of the premier events on the PGA TOUR Nationwide Tour. With a $750,000 purse, the Soboba Classic carries the distinction of being the second largest full field purse on the Nationwide Tour.

 

This event will attract between 12,000 to 15,000 spectators from Southern California. The SGC offers golf fans and enthusiasts a chance to come out and see the best golfers in the world compete up close and personal.

Current PGA Star Rickey Fowler played in this tournament a couple of years back.

 

This event also offers Chamber members a unique opportunity to sponsor and support a top-level athletic event and a world-class golf facility owned by one of our Chamber Tribal Members!
